How to hang window blinds on a wall made out of brick or other type of window treatment that would work?

We live in San Diego and the room in question gets a lot of morning sun. The room was a patio that someone enclosed with the far wall being all brick (fireplace). Where normally you would have drywall to screw in the brackets for blinds, you have a metal plate at the top of the window which the brick sits on. The rest of the house has wood blinds, but I'm up for anything - I just don't know how to secure it. Any suggestions? Thanks

I recently purchase a townhome which was built in 2004. I have some questions about the blinds which needs to get into my windows.

I am not into any fancy or expensive ones.

1) Does installing a certain type of blinds for the windows will save energy and electricity bills ?

2) If YES to the above what blinds does it ?

3) Is it worth putting those blinds ?

4) I am planning on putting those cordless cellular shades (single cell) ALABASTER color ( window images) ? Are they good ?

How do you close window blinds when they refuse to close fully?

In my room their is a 2 inch gap from where the blinds stop to where the window ends. When it stops it still have 2 inches of blinds bunched together. How can this be fixed?
